In my last post I wrote that a way in which you can help yourself wake up early is to have something important or exciting planned for the morning. Today, I want to share something that will be exciting enough to make many people look forward to the morning – my two favorite breakfast recipes of all time that are both easy and delicious.
I like having waffles for breakfast, and this recipe from the New York Times cooking section is always good to try. It only takes about half an hour to make, and you will most likely have all the ingredients you need at home. My additional advice would be to beat the egg whites separately and add them in last for a more fluffy texture inside.
Check out my favorite waffle maker on Amazon – this $9 mini waffle maker from DASH will make the process faster, and if you have any leftover waffles they can serve as a little snack later in the day.
My second recipe is a family favorite and we’ll be making Ukrainian crepes. For this recipe you will need 3 eggs, ½ cup sugar, 1 ½ cups milk, 1 cup flour and 3 tbsp sunflower oil. Beat the eggs with sugar, then add half of the milk followed by flour. Add the remaining milk as necessary, and the sunflower oil. The mix should be more watery than your regular pancake mix and spread around the pan easily. Let it fry on both sides for about 1 minute, and pair it with some berries or jam in the end.
Treat yourself for waking up early, and you will be more motivated to continue doing it!
